delete your account
in the app (fastest)
- open Brotherhood and go to the profile tab;
- tap delete account;
- confirm. That's it — deletion is immediate.
by email
If you can't access the app, email brotherhood.support.app@gmail.com from the address your account is registered to, and we'll delete it for you.
what gets deleted
- your account and email address;
- your profile — name, handle, avatar;
- every message, photo, video, and voice note you sent, from our servers;
- your push-notification tokens and device records.
Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no recovery window and no "deactivated" state. Groups you founded pass to their next member; a group where you were the last member is deleted with you.
One honest caveat: Brotherhood stores your group's history on each member's own device, not on our servers (server copies are deleted within 3 days regardless). Messages already delivered to your group mates' devices remain on their devices, the same way a sent text message stays on the phone that received it.
Two things outlive your account, and it's fair you know why. Safety reports: if you or a group mate filed an abuse report, the report itself is kept as a record for safety and moderation — but it's unlinked from your account, so it no longer points back to you. Crash diagnostics: anonymous crash reports (device model, OS version, and what the app was doing when it broke — never your name, messages, or media) may be held by our crash-reporting provider under its own retention policy, so we can fix the bug that caused them.
